Ensembles 2025-2026

2025-2026 is an exciting year of growth and change for our Music Program. Below you'll find all the information about new ensembles, including names! Enjoy!!


6th Grade: Jaguar Ensemble: An introductory course to music (beginning ensemble) that focuses largely on choral works. Various genres are explored from pop to classical to rock...and everything in between! Students may bring their own instruments to play as part of rehearsal and concerts. We also have classroom instruments available. Students may perform solos and duets as part of concerts. Music concerts are twice per year.

7th Grade: Cadenza: An intermediate ensemble that blends instrumental and choral works. Various genres are explored from pop to classical to rock...and everything in between! Students may bring their own instruments to play as part of rehearsal and concerts. We also have classroom instruments available. There are opportunities for students to compose and perform their own works. Students may perform solos and duets as part of concerts. Music concerts are twice per year.

8th/9th Grade: Chamber Musicians: An intermediate ensemble that blends instrumental and choral works. Various genres are explored from pop to classical to rock...and everything in between! Students may bring their own instruments to play as part of rehearsal and concerts. We also have classroom instruments available. There are expanded opportunities for students to compose and perform their own works. Students may perform solos and duets as part of concerts. Music concerts are twice per year.

10th-12th Grade: Vivace: An Advanced ensemble that blends instrumental and choral works. Auditions are held at the start of term for chair placement. This is the only course that features auditions for ensemble chair positions. All students are automatically enrolled in the course and ensemble without an audition. Seating placement is determined by audition. In this Advanced course, there are less accompaniment tracks and there is more of a focus on student-led melody and accompaniment. Students may accompany each other on various instruments and many pieces are performed vocally and a capella. Various genres are explored from pop to classical to rock...and everything in between! Students may bring their own instruments to play as part of rehearsal and concerts. We also have classroom instruments available. There are expanded opportunities for students to compose and perform their own works. Students may perform solos and duets as part of concerts. Music concerts are twice per year.
